Peregrine Falcon male, Cambridge, UK, 23 May

Peregrine Falcon male, Cambridge, UK, 23 May

The male or tiercel Peregrine hunts for food and brings back something to present to the female. He does not go to the nest but lands on a ledge nearby calling loudly. Sometimes they exchange food in the air too. The female then leaves the nest and comes to collect the food. Once she's done this she takes it back to the nest to feed the chicks or sometimes will cache it on a ledge somewhere to keep it for later.
