Kestrel, Falco tinnunculus, Cherry Hinton, Cambridge, UK

I've been lucky enough to follow the breeding of this pair of Kestrels from April through to July 2021. I think their original clutch of eggs may have been destroyed, probably by Jackdaws and through the breeding cycle Jackdaws have continuously hassled the pair when bringing food back to the nest. Nearing the end of June I witnessed the Jackdaws going into the nest to look for scraps when both parent Kestrels were out hunting. At this stage they didn't appear to harm the young Kestrels.
